This course will bring you up to date with legislation, regulations and policies involved in safeguarding vulnerable adults.
Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Level 1 and 2 and includes some aspect of Level 3 training on working with adults who are potentially vulnerable.
Course Summary There is nothing more important than ensuring the well-being of children and as clinicians, that we have the skills to identify when a child needs help and protection. It is therefore important that we are able to work together in partnership with other agencies so that we can respond to the needs and interests of families.
Improve your knowledge of current law and policy around Children. Provide a systematic approach to taking a history from the parent/caregiver or child. Discuss terminology and its significance when assessing if there is risk of harm. Understand current law and resources available and raise awareness in: The recognition of child abuse, How to respond to concerns, Who to contact when there is a concern, Fulfilling “duty of care”, Safe practice and keeping children safe, and Vulnerability and protection
