This mandatory training for health and social care is doctors and allied health professionals requiring their yearly mandatory training. This course is delivered as a series of eLearning and self directed recorded presentations delivered by specialists in the field. Mandatory training for health and social care is fundamental for all staff working with patients, including those undertaking remote consultations. You can enrol on a single learning unit or access all the mandatory training sessions as a bundle. This allows you the flexibility to choose which sessions you need.

What will i learn?

  • Demonstrate an ability to perform life-saving techniques including CPR, using AEDs, managing choking incidents, and positioning patients in the recovery position, following the CSTF guidelines.
  • Use conflict resolution techniques to handle disputes and ensure a workplace that values equality and diversity, identifying and addressing instances of bullying and harassment.
  • Implement best practices in infection prevention and control and effectively identify and respond to safeguarding concerns involving adults and children, including issues like radicalization, FGM, and online safety.
  • Maintain high standards of documentation and record-keeping, ensure the dignity and privacy of patients are upheld, and consistently provide patient-centered care, fostering a respectful and empathetic healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to conduct comprehensive health and safety risk assessments, ensure fire safety measures are in place, and comply with information governance and GDPR regulations to protect patient data and privacy.

Requirements

  • Registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) or equivalent professional body as listed below
  • The GDC which regulates all dental professionals in the UK, including dental nurses, dental technicians, clinical dental technicians, dental hygienists, dental therapists, and orthodontic therapists.
  • The GOC who is the regulator for the optical professions in the UK, including optometrists and dispensing opticians.
  • The GPhC regulates pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy premises in Great Britain.
  • The CSP is the professional, educational, and trade union body for the UK's physiotherapists, physiotherapy students, and support workers.
  • The RCOT is the professional body for occupational therapists, occupational therapy support workers, and students in the UK.
